Shannon, this sounds like a great book! My first thought when reading your summary is that this is an extremely twisted version of the Breakfast Club. I find it interesting how you mentioned that it is a mystery but alludes to the social issues that technology is having today. I think a lot of teens would relate to that! Do you think that older adults would enjoy this one as well, or is it geared more towards teens and young adults?
ReplyDeleteI had the same question as Shelby- would you call this a YA.
ReplyDeleteThis book is great! I have been trying to set aside time for the sequel...if only I could get it on audiobook! I would definitely call this a YA mystery but the teen angst and romance isn't so YA-ish that adults would get turned off either. Great book and great review!
ReplyDeleteGreat annotation! This book has been on my to read list for a while now and reading your annotation just wants me to read it now. I agree with Shelby in that when I first heard about this novel, it seemed like a twist of the BC, but with today's real world problems teens face.
ReplyDeleteI read this book and really liked it. The description of it being like the Breakfast Club reeled me in and it really did have that feel to it. I thought it is also a good book on its own. I know there's a sequel, but I haven't decided if I want to read it or not. I was content with the ending.
ReplyDeleteI was surprised how much I liked this book- it was really good as an audiobook, well narrated. I haven't read the sequel because I wasn't sure there was much more to say or build-on for a sequel, but I may end up checking it out. Good Annotation!
ReplyDeleteFantastic job on this annotation! You've got me and a lot of your classmates intrigued! I may have to try this out on audio! Great format and excellent job on the appeals. Full points!
